To me, the above excerpt from A Return to Love beautifully sums up the concept of coaching. We are whole. When we let that which is broken fall away, divine perfection is all that remains.
We’ve all seen makeovers on TV where people appear to be transformed only to creep back to their old ways before the episode airs. The hoarder’s home is cleaned and organized, leaving them overjoyed by the ‘transformation’, but six weeks later they’re hoarding again. Change is hard and remaining in our comfort zone, as dreary as it may be, somehow seems preferable to the perceived enormity of venturing into the unknown. What’s exciting is uncertainty is a skill we can learn, acclimatize to and even enjoy!
I received my coaching certification from Coach Training Alliance, a leading global ICF-accredited organization. Coaching is goal-focused and action-oriented but the shift I was most interested in helping my clients experience was on an ontological level. This is why I also studied Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Transformation Coaching, and Life by Design. By combining different approaches and tools, I can best help you achieve lasting change to truly transform your life.
